Legal
Privacy Policy
This is the personal website of Mandela Onwusah (“I,” “me”), founder of the IJIDI ecosystem. This Policy explains what personal data this website collects, why, and what rights you have over it.
1. What I Collect
I collect personal data only when you choose to provide it through the contact form. This includes:
- Your name and email address
- Your organisation, if you add it
- The type of enquiry you choose (partnership, speaking, media or general) and your message
This site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page visits. It does not use cookies; it records which pages are viewed, the referring site, the browser, device type and country, and does not identify you personally. If you switch between the light and dark theme, your choice is saved in your own browser and is never sent to me. The fonts are served from this site, and there are no advertising scripts. Like any website, the hosting provider (Vercel) processes standard technical data, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the pages to you.
2. How I Use It
- To reply to your enquiry
- To consider partnership, speaking and media requests
- To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used
I do not sell, rent or trade personal data. I do not use your data for marketing without separate, explicit consent.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
I process your data on the basis of your consent (by submitting the form) and, where applicable, my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running this website. This Policy is intended to align with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR).
4. Data Sharing
Form submissions are delivered to me through Formspree, the form service this site uses, which processes them under its own terms. Page-visit counts are processed by Vercel. I do not share your data with other third parties except where required by law or a valid legal process.
Links to social media profiles take you to those platforms, whose own privacy policies apply.
5. Data Retention
I keep enquiry data for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and keep a record of the conversation. You may request deletion at any time, subject to any legal retention requirements.
6. Your Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data I hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data, where not otherwise required to be retained
- Withdraw consent for future processing
To exercise any of these rights, contact me using the details below.
7. Security
I take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data you send. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s Privacy
This site is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
9. Changes to This Policy
I may update this Policy as the site or its tools change. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated “Last updated” date.
10. Contact
Questions about this Policy or your data can be sent through the contact form on this site.
